We would like to invite you to become a Blue Run Business.
What is a Blue Run Business?
A Blue Run Business is a designation created especially for Summit County businesses to help make our community gathering spaces more welcoming to Summit County residents and visitors who want to be more intentional about their alcohol consumption so they can do more of what they love in our beautiful community.

Why use the “intermediate” Blue Run ski reference?
Just as a blue run on the slopes provides a clear, approachable path for intermediate skiers, our logo signals a thoughtful, balanced approach—encouraging people to engage safely, socially, and intentionally in the community experiences they love.
Why?
But our message isn’t just about cutting back. It’s about doing more. More adventure, more interests, more connection. We believe the road to a healthier Summit County should be a fun one.
Who Are We?
This Booze Less Summit campaign was created through partnerships with local businesses and nonprofit organizations to improve access to and awareness of mental health resources. We’re not anti-drinking; we’re simply pro the community health benefits of drinking more intentionally and responsibly.
What are the requirements?
Blue Run Businesses will be spotlighted on our website with images, links, and descriptions about their businesses and non-alcoholic offerings. Plus, you’ll get a shoutout on our social channels.
Becoming a Blue Run Business is a straightforward process. However, we do have a few essential requirements to ensure that the campaign is effective for both businesses and guests.
- Display our decal prominently near the entrance of your business.
- Ensure that you have at least 3 to 5 mocktail or non-alcoholic drink options on offer.
- Be open to future communication with us regarding event opportunities.
- Display our Booze Less Summit poster or table tent inside your business
- Educate your staff and management team on the Booze Less Summit campaign. (We will give you a easy-to-read informational one-pager to use 😉)

What’s in it for you?
We are asking for community partners to volunteer to become Blue Run rated businesses in support of improving the physical and mental health of our community. Plus, we believe shifting Summit County businesses to be more inclusive of non-alcoholic drinking will benefit your business. In the past few years, non-alcoholic beverage trends have been on the rise. Demand has been greater due to less desire for alcohol consumption from younger generations and a wider wellness trend across the societal spectrum.
From August 2021 to August 2022, non-alcoholic drink sales grew 20.6% year-over-year. 82% of non-alcoholic drink purchases also purchased alcoholic drinks, showing the desire for more options and more intentional drinking.
